QF6020 from Johannesburg to Sydney brought a fifth engine, a so called "V pod". This plane suffered engine problems when it was originally to perform the QF64 flight back to Sydney. Another jumbo, VH-OJN took a new, good engine to VH-OJL in the same manner, and VH-OJL returned with the problem engine. This is a comparatively unusual sight in the modern aviation world, although it was very common in the older days of classic jet airliners. Sydney turned on its worst weather with torrential rain and driving wind.
